Best Time to Climb Kilimanjaro falls between December and mid-March, as well as from mid-June through October. These dry periods promise clear skies, breathtaking views, and minimal rainfall, ensuring an optimal Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing experience. While you can ascend the mountain any time of the year, it’s wise to avoid April and November, the peak rainy seasons, due to challenging trail conditions.

Its wide and open plains mean there is virtually always something to see no matter what time of year you visit. However, for those looking for an opportunity to watch as the great wildebeest migration unfolds, the best time to visit the Mara is from July to October.
